It is edible, but due to the smell and grease I won't buy them again. Tesco raisins for the same price are better (even though it's only a 200g pack, but they don't smell and aren't so greasy)
The 1kg resealable pack is great
good price
I didn't believe the reviews that described a strange smell. MY MISTAKE! According to the ingredients, it only contains raisins and sunflower oil. And the oil is probably where the problem lies. Poor quality and burnt to a crisp. It really smells quite bad. As soon as you open the packet, it hits you.
Because of the oil, the raisins are quite greasy. You can even see it on your fingers when you're just snacking on them :)

I was hesitant about buying this product after reading the reviews. In the end, I bought them as I mainly need raisins for baking and didn't have high expectations. The product is sufficient for cakes, but they are genuinely inedible raw – they have a disgusting chemical smell, and the odour doesn't go away after opening the bag. I have serious doubts about their safety for consumption. I really do not recommend them. I purchased them at the end of September 2026.

I must have forgotten what a mistake I made ordering these raisins in the past. When you open the packet, they have a musty smell and taste awful as a result. I meant to order the jumbo raisins instead; I don't have this problem with them.
Strange musty smell. I used to order these, but I won't make that mistake again. The giant ones are usually fine.
the musty smell also significantly affects the taste
