We had two for our two children, for the second year running. Occasionally, the pedal would play up; it wouldn’t respond at all. Over the winter, you must disconnect and remove the battery; otherwise, it won’t last if you’re storing it in a garden shed or garage, for example. It can easily carry two children, each weighing 20 kg. Suitable for children aged around 4–5 years. Apart from a few minor issues, I was satisfied with them. Occasionally, the pedal would play up at the start; it was necessary to take the vehicle apart, disconnect the contactors and the control unit, and put it back together again – or, if necessary, disconnect the battery. After the winter, one of the go-karts was significantly slower – paradoxically, it was the one where I hadn’t disconnected the battery (a lesson learnt for next time); after replacing the battery (buying a larger 12V/9Ah one), it ran as it should again. Over the past year, the radio stopped working and there was no sound coming from the car – there was a cold joint on the sound circuit board; all I had to do was re-solder it. But on the whole, these are minor issues, and they’ll only affect one in a hundred cars. So, I’d definitely recommend them (bought on sale for 4,500 Kč). I’d buy them again.

You have to be prepared for the fact that a battery is a consumable item and may simply stop working. You can buy a new battery for 300 Kč; it’s not rocket science, and even someone with no talent for it can manage it

Don’t bother Alza with complaints about batteries – just buy a new one for 300 Kč! When the batteries in your TV remote run out, you don’t ring the manufacturer either.

The controls are very poorly designed, and switching control from the quad bike to the remote control is a problem – with the older, first model, we could intervene to take control from the children, but with this one, either you or the child can be in control. It doesn’t make much sense – if the child wants to ride on their own, they have to get off, and you have to remove the seat, switch it over and put it back on again.
