The effectiveness is debatable. The martens kept coming back. The product feels low-quality and impractical. Since I have it, I use it as a supplementary "maybe" repellent, but what definitely repelled the martens from my new car, which is extremely attractive to them due to the eco-friendly materials used, was the BROS liquid repellent. I pour it into a small bottle with a sponge and place it in the engine bay.
Poor quality, amateurish craftsmanship.
It's not working.

Like all other users, I also switched the 'box' on and assumed I had scared off the martens. There's no indicator on the box to show it's working, nor can you hear anything, so I was living in foolish hope.

It only worked for a year – I found out it had stopped working when I tried to change the battery.

I've only had it for a short time, so I can't review it yet. I would have just welcomed more information with the product.
For example, I didn't install it in the engine bay (for the reasons mentioned above), but rather under the dashboard. By how much have I reduced the acoustic output in the engine bay? And what impact might this have on its effectiveness against martens? I can only guess at all this, as the manufacturer provided pretty much no information.
Difficult to fit in the engine bay. If you somehow manage it, you then have to lift the bonnet every time to switch it on/off.
