The power control is done by pulse width, a few seconds gives the cooker full power and a few seconds is a pause. The ratio between On and Off intervals changes the power output. The power setting is in 10 stages. Power level 1 or 2 is sufficient to maintain the boil. On boiling water you can see the moments when the boiler gives full power, the water bubbles a little and when there is a gap, the water is calm. For the quality of cooking this certainly does not matter. The cooker has a built-in timer. Controlling the timer is a bit complicated, I recommend reading the instructions. When the timer is opened with the clock symbol, the display will show 00:00. By turning the wheel, the desired time can be set. The left double number is the hours, the right number is the minutes. After setting the time, you need to wait 5s and then the time will be saved and start counting down. Since the smallest unit is minutes, the number of minutes you set does not change once timing starts. It'll change in a minute. Therefore, you need to keep track of the colon between the hours and minutes. A flashing colon indicates the start of the timer. After a few seconds, the display changes to show the power or the desired temperature instead of the time. Someone in the review complained about the noisy fan. I don't think it's noisy. Its sound is low and muffled. No whistling or vibration. The sound of the fan informs you that the cooker is in operation. In my opinion this solution is useful and less disturbing than if the fan changes speed according to the load of the internal electronics.
The induction cooker is very nice to look at. It's not a plastic inkwell. The top glass surface looks elegant. The concentric circles guide you to center the vessel. The rotary dial for setting the cooking parameters is on the front, away from the food being cooked. If food overflows from the container, it will not get into the gap between the controller and the cooker body. The control of the cooker is intuitive.
At full power, the water in the pot heats up very quickly, much faster than on a gas burner.
The desired output (1 to 10) can be combined with the target temperature setting. So, for example, at power 4, the temperature in the vessel increases slowly until the desired temperature is reached.
The cooker remembers the power level that was set during the previous cooking process when it is switched off to standby mode. The LED and numeric display is clear and easy to understand.
The cooker has a temperature control function. The temperature can be adjusted in 20°C increments. When set to 80°C, the water is hot. When set to 100°C, the water boils intensely. This mode can only be used with the container uncovered. If the container were covered with a lid, the contents would surely escape.
The timer starts immediately after setting it as I describe in another paragraph. It cannot be "programmed" to start the timer after the desired temperature is reached. So, if you want, for example. to boil the potatoes for 25 minutes, then you have to set the timer for 00:25 only at the time when the water has started to boil. That's how it works, it's not a mistake.
It's a bit more complicated to clear the timer and set it again. I recommend following the instructions.
