The watch band feels almost identical to the original. It holds 100% in the case, it feels nice to the touch, maybe it's a little stiffer than the original, but maybe it's just me because the original had already been through a lot. Compared to the original belt, it has a metal buckle, but this is neither an advantage nor a disadvantage for me.
The biggest difference and the biggest disadvantage is that the strap does not have a locking tab and so it can shift. Instead, there are two loops. But to some extent it's more a matter of habit.
