Games like ETS2, BeamNG. drive and games that have legacy D-Input support have no problem with either D-Input or X-Input. However, games that only support the newer X-Input do not detect the steering wheel even in X-Input mode (whichever). The cable between the wheel and PC or console is long enough, rather too long, however the cable between the pedals and the wheel is incredibly short and gets in the way.
D-Input support is 100%
