We bought this based on a recommendation; it has very fast heating and a great temperature control design. The power cord is on the shorter side. In its price range, it's a good buy. We have a very expensive Sage glass kettle where there is a risk of scalding when pouring, but this one is safer – the stream of water is thinner, but sufficient for coffee/tea. What is not completely ideal is the lid design – the filter rattles during use, and the lever itself, which you hold while pouring, does not look very durable (it's a question of how it will hold up to long-term use).

insulation which prevents the surface from getting hot
temperature control

maintains temperature

the strainer under the lid rattles
