Very nice quality clock, but getting it out of the box is a bit of a challenge.
Although Alza doesn't mention it anywhere, the clock is radio-controlled. I got a bit of a shock when, after putting the battery in, the hands started spinning wildly until they found the radio signal.
They look a lot better than in the picture. The frame is made of a hard, matte plastic.
The hygrometer is useful in my library
They tick smoothly, no "jerking".
You need a pair of scissors and a screwdriver to unbox it. I'm being completely serious.
The manual is written in tiny print.
