CD/DVD drive in an older PC (2010? )me was unable to load the newly acquired CD, even though it appeared to be fully functional, and it really has no problem with discs from " its time".
The external drive solved this problem, in addition, I now have the possibility of a kind of " expansion" of the laptop with another peripheral.
The delivery to Alza Box was also gratifying, I ordered on Monday afternoon when I discovered a problem with reading the CD and went to pick up this drive the next morning.
