Overall, I was really impressed with the Hohem V3 Ultra and found it to be by far the best quality of all the mobile gimbals I've tried. Everything feels solid, the plastics aren't cheap, the bikes have a sturdy feel, and even that metal arm hinge looks like it's going to hold something. Compared to some models from DJI or Insta360, it looked two classes better to me. I really liked the detachable display. It's a gadget that's not just for effect, but really useful. It's also cool that you can see what the AI tracking is currently tracking. I found the tracking itself hilarious and it worked better than the competition, although sometimes it wasn't quite 100%. I also appreciate that the gimbal can rotate 360° around its own axis, and it's really compact when folded. I also give a plus for the built-in feet at the bottom. Even though they are thin, they hold surprisingly well and the gimbal is stable on the table. I found the battery life good too, it just goes down a lot when using the AI module. What I didn't like was the integrated phone holder. For a regular mobile phone it was probably fine, but with a thicker cover it was quite annoying to put it on. Personally, I'd much rather see a MagSafe solution. I was also a bit annoyed that I sometimes accidentally pressed the display and switched a mode without meaning to. And a couple of times I've had the gimbal not be completely evenly balanced, though after turning it off and on it usually went away. But the main reason for the return was the small range in the tilt axis. In normal use it's still fine, but as soon as I wanted to do some more creative moves, it started to limit me a lot. A slight tilt was enough and the phone was already tilting, while I needed it to stay horizontal. That was ultimately the thing I didn't get over. What's even more frustrating is that the zoom buttons only work in their app, so they're basically useless outside of it. Overall, I have to say that it is a very good product in terms of processing and overall design. If the way the phone is mounted fit me better and had more freedom in the tilt axis, I would keep it.
