This is a superbly designed, finely tuned air-conditioning system. When running at full capacity, the noise from the compressor is very reasonable (comparable, for example, to that of old fridges); the sound of the airflow from the fan is more noticeable. Nothing rattles anywhere, and you can work comfortably with the air conditioning on (owners of other models describe being unable to work or make phone calls, but you won’t experience that here). Another advantage is the direct evaporation of condensate – there’s no need to empty the tanks, etc., so if you switch it on remotely via Wi-Fi, you won’t be greeted at home by a surprise in the form of heat and a flashing ‘tank full’ indicator light, but by a cool room; ) The unit’s column-like shape means it can be fitted into a balcony door, and the exhaust does not require a hose; you can easily seal the rest of the door. Thanks to its medium output (see documentation), it doesn’t create such a strong draught in the room (at higher air flow rates, you often end up drawing odours from the stairwells, corridors, etc. back into the flat, or you simply have to open a window elsewhere and end up drawing in hot air from outside again.) A higher price reflects the product’s quality and, in all likelihood, its lifespan as well.
