This printer got such a bad review that I took it as a challenge. And I don't understand. After unpacking it, I peeled off the protective tape, plugged one cable into the socket and that was it. I installed the app on my phone and within 10 minutes of opening the box I was printing. I understand that people aren't always tech savvy though. this is preschooler-level technique. The menu guides you through the initial setup, there's nothing to go wrong. Yes, if you don't want any additional software a priori, you won't get anywhere here. It's just tied up. Also, it's designed as an online printer - so if this is your use case (i.e. just having it anywhere in your apartment where it's convenient - and not being constrained by a USB cable), you have nothing to worry about. I'm really enjoying the retrospective over the other reviews: )
