I was originally worried about the possibility of sagging (mentioned in a few reviews abroad), but none occurred, I'm cooling with NXZ Kraken Z63 water cooling. Temperatures do not get above 60 degrees even at max load. During play, temperatures are at 45 max. I switched from 7700k and the difference in newer games is extreme. Up to 50% FPS increase on newer games at 1440p that aren't built on older components, with the same GPU (1080ti). Example Elden Ring/Gotham Knights - initially unstable FPS, sometimes below 30. With this CPU absolutely stable 60+ FPS. Similar values can probably be achieved with 12600k, thanks to the high frequency

If you're comparing it with 12900k, pay attention that it's really hard to cool more than 200W desktop CPU due to small IHS :) PS: It's a good idea to undervolt it by 100-150 mV

edit: My pump on the driver failed, so I couldn't keep the cpu cool.
Now I have an Arctic freezer 34 Esports duo on it and it is cool even with air, 50-55 degrees in games and 70 degrees in full load in stress test even after 5 minutes.
extra performance compared to the i7 8700K is felt in games and applications (such an intergenerational increase in performance in the Internet has not been for many years)
price/performance
the possibility of using older DDR4 on some motherboards
It is also very warm with a watermelon, I will have to try a better heat paste and probably an undewolt
The version probably doesn' t make sense, because at the moment I can' t imagine that I would still be clocked, and even though I would still get only about% of the extra power

stock 12700K vs overclocked 8700K - on average just under 50% performance increase in applications (test with Blender Cycles (there render faster by about 60%, brutal), simulations in Realflow, Marvelous Design) + at all much better temperatures than overclocked i7 8700K. I don' t know how it is in games, I figure on Switch: P One of the best. processor upgrades with me ever, at an affordable price. Great.
