The Kärcher FC 4 cleans floors brilliantly, but you need to bear in mind that maintaining the machine itself takes quite a bit of time, and its robust design means it can’t reach everywhere.

It vacuums perfectly and cleans the floor beautifully. It can do both in a single step, which saves time.

Less user-friendly design and dimensions: The head is quite large, so you won’t be able to get it into tight spaces.

It won't fit under the bed: The vacuum cleaner cannot be laid completely flat whilst cleaning. Because of this, you won’t be able to vacuum under the bed or low furniture with it.

The smell of the roller: Even though I took the roller out after every time I vacuumed, washed it by hand and left it to dry in the sun, after a week of daily cleaning it started to smell. What’s more, the roller needs at least two days to dry completely (it’s a good idea to have a spare).

The need for manual cleaning: The self-cleaning function is nice, but it’s not enough. Once it has finished and the roller has been removed, a lot of dirt remains inside the machine. The mop must be thoroughly cleaned by hand after every use, otherwise the dirt will start to smell strongly over time.
