The mouse stopped munching on the decal in the car at night and obediently caught himself in a trap nearby. I don't know, but maybe it was because of this scarecrow. I'm keeping it anyway, so the marten doesn't come in. Otherwise findings: the sound is almost inaudible to the ear, you only notice it with the engine open, so there is no risk of complaints from neighbours. The mobile measured a peak somewhere above 20kHz, it couldn't go higher. It beeps about 0.5s every 5s. The frequency is probably always the same, it probably only goes off a bit when you turn it off. The consumption is true, I measured 1.3mA, compared to the best rated scarecrow on Mars, so 10x less consumption and at the same time it should make 30x more "music" than the best selling battery scarecrows. Supposedly it's waterproof, but it doesn't really matter. The main disadvantage is the hassle of installation: The manufacturer nicely describes where to place the scarecrow to make it effective, and whatnot, but then they pack a 30cm cable, so you can't put it anywhere but next to the battery anyway. The attachment with two tightening straps (through the eyelets in the body of the device) is pretty much useless, it will swing around when driving. The plus wire came tinned and without a connector - the crimp fork was in the package separately, but already used. Thanks to fiddling with the battery, I was greeted by 8 'engine failures' after starting - fortunately this is normal when you momentarily disconnect the battery. Just drive a little bit, and everything will catch up again.
