I own the original YSL La Nuit de L'Homme, and this clone is spot on. The similarity in the drydown is truly striking. Although it’s closer to Bleu Électrique. One essential piece of advice for anyone buying sight: Don’t be alarmed by the first spray as soon as you unpack it. The scent may initially come across as quite sharp, dry and very ‘powdery’. It is extremely important to leave the bottle to macerate. Spray it about 10 to 15 times to let air in, then leave it to stand in a dark cupboard for 2 to 3 weeks. The scent matures and softens incredibly well. That dry, powdery quality softens into a luxurious, creamy note, blending beautifully with the fresh ginger in the opening, and only then do you get the real gem. For this price, it’s an absolute cracker – nothing to worry about. I recommend it!

It bears a striking resemblance to the original by YSL (specifically, it is most similar to the limited-edition Bleu Électrique).

Straight out of the box, it can seem a bit too powdery (but a three-week maceration will sort that out).

Significantly better longevity than the classic version of La Nuit de L'Homme.
