If you want to work in xcode, you don't have many other options but to buy something with macos. Yes, you can run xcode on Linux, but you can't talk about comfortable work. I rate macOS as a strongly cut and limited os, the possibilities of linux are incomparably greater, but who wants to howl with wolves, or who wants to write code for ios/macOS, must reach for apple products.

If you mainly use Apple apps, working in the system is comfortable and seamless. HW is excellent, internet browsing and working with web applications are exceptionally fast. The limited cooperation of the MAC OS with the big monitor disappointed me. Some people like small fonts and lots of space for apps on a large monitor, I prefer large fonts, two or three apps side by side at most, and comfortable windowing. This is exactly what I don't think MAC OS does very well. Cooperation with iCloud is exemplary. On the other hand, the synchronization with Microsoft's OneDrive is, in my opinion, not so great ... a simple document created in Word or Excel appeared synchronized on the disk after a few minutes. I don't know this from the iPad. So if you need to work mainly with MS Office applications, prefer a flexible operating system, large letters in applications on a large monitor and overall better display settings, I recommend Windows. MAC OS seems to me to be very binding in this respect. If those things aren't essential to you, you might like this mini PC from Apple.
