According to the description, the extension should have some form of brake when retracting, it does not have one, it closes on an adjustable fixed stop.

I had to shorten with a knife the snap buttons on each side of the return flap by about 0,5mm, otherwise the flap did not go freely and remained hanging open.

Buttons awkwardly hidden and classic mechanical with a larger stroke. Unfortunately, this is a feature of all hoods sold today. The old hood had micro buttons in the front bar with LEDs, you knew right away if it was on and what.

Does not turn off the lighting when retracted

The filament bulbs used are low wattage, I will be buying stronger ones.
