The kettle itself is fine. It does exactly what it is designed to do and it does it quickly. A litre of cold water heats up in about two minutes and fifteen seconds, which is decent. What I don't quite understand is the backlit water indicator. It's nice to be able to see the amount of water when the water is boiling, but that would be needed when filling the kettle. Looks nice, though. What I really appreciate is the ability to turn off the horrible beeping when the kettle is turned on and off. The sound is not unpleasant, but it is quite loud. My only complaint is the high price - even after a week of use I couldn't justify the price. Despite the high price, I'll give five stars - the kettle is nice, works great, the base is quite small and low, the temperature display is fine, and the ability to choose a preset temperature for different teas and coffees is also fine. just the price.
