This smartphone met my expectations exactly. Really cool gear. With that price tag it is seriously out of the market in its category I would say. There are direct competitors, but if you're after a phone with a more decent camera, I think the One Plus Nord 3 is probably the best. I really don't feel that I'm missing anything here. I definitely recommend it.

I was buying a new phone for my wife. This seemed like the best solution after reading all the reviews. Initially, the motorola edge 40 won after a discount, but my wife didn't want a curved display, so we made a few compromises (swapping some benefits for others) and paid a few thousand extra. The benefits are fairly obvious and in every review. I'll focus on what bothers me.
The very first time I unpacked and copied data from my old phone, I found the phone to be uncomfortably hot. After playing with the phone for a few days, the wow effect I expected when I bought a new phone still hasn't arrived. Already during the setup I was quite annoyed by the extension, which hopefully did not add anything useful and on the contrary makes it impossible to set the standard options from pure android. When I compare it to my zenfone 9, where every change is just presented as an alternative to a pure system with options, it's heaven and smoke (and the options are always thoughtful and useful). I could not, for example, move the home screen one to the right, I could not set the wake up to alwais on screen by tapping (it is only wake up when the display lights up so that at night people are blinded). It's just a matter of picking up the phone uncomfortably. The battery management options are literally pathetic, compared to what I'm used to.
When browsing systems everything is smooth and fast, but for example in google news I don't feel smooth (maybe it chooses too low frequency).
As for the controls, it's almost impossible to manage with one hand and I didn't realize how important it was to me until now. If you're just carrying a bag or you have a baby in your arms, you can't use your other hand. Just the reader in the display makes it quite complicated and you risk falling when unlocking with one hand. Of course, at home on the couch, the large display is comfortable and nice to look at, because that's certainly one of the advantages of a phone, but we need a phone on the go. But size in itself is more about preference, so I don't take that as a negative. What bothers me, however, is the sometimes less responsive reader. Simply against what I'm used to with both my Zenfon 9 and my wife's old Honor 20 Pro, this optical reader feels inferior. It's not a tragedy, but.
The camera shoots very well, I am satisfied with the photos. The power of the phone is sufficient for anything a woman may need.
I was honestly considering returning it and not buying my wife a Zenfone 9 too. But that one is disqualified by the support ending this year and the discount wasn't big enough to compensate.

I'm not too happy with the phone. It looks pretty good and the reviews on it are positive, but I'm disappointed. The camera is really bad. The edges of the photos are blurry and misshapen, the photos are so bland in all modes and tend to balance the whites into ochre. I take a lot of photos, especially text documents, and this just doesn't cut it. Take pictures of anything, for example. from the monitor is terrible. The camera's not good. The display is absolutely average. The phone has absolutely horribly laid out buttons - power on one side and volume exactly opposite, so when you turn off the screen, you press volume up with your fingers and take a screenshot. I don't know who made that up. The mobile phone is bad at saving videos - sometimes you shoot a video and it doesn't save to memory. The flashlight function is terrible, the light is weak and can only be set to light up by gesture - you draw the letter V on the display. But that doesn't always work, so you shuffle along like fools and nothing happens. Ironically, the fingerprint reader in the display at the bottom works quite reliably, but sometimes it goes off too soon and then you can't get it there except by turning off the phone and waking it up again. In short, this was a terrible misstep and I'd like to slap myself.
