I use it with my service laptop when testing PCs, gaming consoles, TV boxes, etc. With this, I can turn my laptop into a monitor for other HDMI devices. Just connect the device to the laptop and open OBS. My only complaint is that you need to be careful with the USB side, as a lot of force is put on the USB connector and there is a risk of damaging the USB port on one side or the other.
Works reliably
The USB connector could be on the cable

the image is tearing
The contacts are a bit poor (it sometimes disconnected on its own).

if you want to digitize old VHS tapes, this is an excellent tool in conjunction with an AV to HDMI converter, otherwise even modern digital cameras can do it
