We claimed the coffee maker after about two months, after the nozzle started smelling burnt and the pressure was dropping, the first time they claimed it and the second time it happened after about a week, they wrote to us saying they didn't accept it, it was poor maintenance. I should point out that we have had the coffee maker for about 7 months by now, 2 months of which it was in for repair and 2 months it was not working and they did not acknowledge our claim for non-maintenance. If you're expecting to unpack it, plug it in, pour in the beans, and start making coffee or coffee drinks like a good coffee shop, you're mistaken. You will rather wonder why your coffee doesn't flow, or on the contrary it flows too watery or bitter or sour. And it won't be the fault of the machine, but the fact that to set this machine to the right values, you need to understand how espresso is made and what influences it. It's not easy. It just took me about an hour and a half to set the optimal grind coarseness, grind time, water temperature so that 16g of coffee goes in, 32g of coffee goes out, and it did so within 32 seconds of brewing, which is the optimal time for a regular espresso with quality crema. Depending on the type of grain, and its defeat, the temperature must be adjusted so that the taste is not too sour or bitter. Espresso is a science, but thanks to this machine you will be able to play with everything that affects the espresso, and thanks to this you will get a better taste than in most cafes, but it also depends on the beans you buy. Definitely, this coffee machine is much better than its cheaper predecessor, the Sage Barista Express. However, if you want to achieve an even better taste, you'll need to buy a better grinder than the one this machine has built in. Yes it's a lot better than my cheaper Barista Express model, but it's still not quite the same.

Sage has everything down to the last detail as always - I RECOMMEND it to anyone who wants to take their life in the world of espresso making up a level

I already have a second machine, just a different colour. But I have to say, I wouldn't do it again. For the price, it's still a lowcost coffee maker, unfortunately. Compared to the original one, where the grinder went out just before the end of the warranty, this one is much noisier, it vibrates more, after brewing the coffee some relay buzzes inside for a while (which probably wouldn't bother me), but what annoys me a lot is that quite often it skips the grinding stage up or down a unit. Unfortunately, you can not complain, it happens irregularly. Furthermore, the coffee machine vibrates quite a bit which could be solved by soundproofing the pump, but what annoys me more is the whiny grinder. When the coffee is older it is really awful, fresh about 14 days after brewing is much better. I would have opted for a coffee machine without a grinder and bought a professional one on the side. In general it is a very successful coffee machine, maybe I just got lucky with a worse batch. Sage offers a 3-year warranty, but you must register the machine within 1 month of purchase, then it is no longer available. I forgot about that again.

The head of the coffee machine and therefore also the portafilter are not tempered in the standby state of the coffee machine. Before making coffee, it is therefore necessary to warm up the head and lever by making one batch 'coffee-less'. Similarly, the cup tray on the coffee machine is not heated.

Only the double lever is included. A single lever would also be useful. Switching cups (single and double cup) is not practical and is quite difficult to do. Surprisingly, the single-track is not even available for purchase. Only the 'naked' one is available on the online stores.
