If you are expecting a pure audiophile experience from these headphones, the Momentum range will probably disappoint you. The sound is tuned strictly for the commercial market and lacks fine resolution. Although the bass is massive, it is monolithic and flat – the tones bleed into each other and lack texture, so you often can't tell which instrument is actually playing the bassline. The treble also feels cheap. It is artificially boosted to mask the boomy low end, resulting in a harsh, unnatural and fatiguing tinny sound without a shred of real spaciousness or airiness. The headphones will do a good job for casual listening to modern genres on public transport, but do not look for true studio detail and high fidelity here.
Extreme battery life of up to 60 hours
Good active ambient noise cancellation
Intuitive app with an advanced equaliser
Sound lacking in fidelity and detail
Monolithic and muddy bass tones
Cheap and tiring reproduction of artificially boosted treble
Missing texture and poor readability of the tools

Quite a disappointment. Technical support just forwards some generic form. And that's only after you send them the invoice and the model (which was already filled in on their website). As someone here mentioned about glasses - it's a fact that it might not be about them, but about the fit of the headphones. As soon as they're not sitting in the right place - I guess some sensor inside - the modes start switching, probably turning off ANC etc. as well. The call quality was abysmal, I had to pick up my phone. The sound itself is excellent, the case is small, and they stay on my head better than my old Sony ones.
Clear sound
Automatic shutdown
Firmware - playback stops.
ANC - doesn't work?
Calls - the other person can't understand me

The chap who wrote here that they are unusable with ANC if you wear glasses is wrong. For me, they work just fine, even with glasses.
The automatic switching between devices works surprisingly well
Pure audio
Selection of preset EQ profiles

I’d had a few pairs of headphones on before, but this takes it to a whole new level. For example, the sound quality of the Sony 1000XM6 is in a different league to the Momentum 5 – the Momentum 5 are a cut above. As for comfort, it’s the same story: I noticed it straight away with the XM6 and it bothered me, but here it’s brilliant. I’ve seen loads of reviews, and after tweaking the EQ, I’m on a par with the HDB630! I recommend it to everyone.
