I bought this because I don't have any racks on the roof of my car, and I need to transport two snowboards on my small three-door car. The buckle must be in the front, not the back, to prevent the front of the snowboard from being ripped off. You need to lower the centre of the skis so that they don't slip on the first turn. If your skis or snowboard "float" on the roof, the Czechs have already invented various tricks to solve the slack that occurs because the walls of the grips do not fit together. You can put a book or something like that in there to keep it from moving. Although there is a lock, you don't really need it because you take off your snowboard when you arrive and go riding. It doesn't pay to leave things unattended on the roof. I recommend leaving the snowboard in the car. This product is more for transportation alone, but even so, not everything is perfectly thought out. And I'd rather secure the back end with a piece of cable or string too, I'd attach it over the back window or door, just elementary school physics 7, every material gets tired. I wouldn't trust my expensive equipment to just a magnet. So I am writing my experience here so that something unpleasant doesn't happen to you. I wish a lot of snow for 2024/25
