The Tanita scale turned out to be the only one whose readings jump up and down for no apparent reason (I weigh myself at the same time and in similar clothes, the scale stands on a flat hard surface).
If I can't trust my weight, it's useless to me.
If the scale did what it's supposed to do, the price would be on the edge.
The scale beeps loudly to announce when you can step on it and also when the measurement is finished. That's not very practical if you don't want to wake anyone up.
When I turn the scale on, it shuts off about half the time within 3 seconds of beeping that it is ready.
