I definitely recommend buying a condensate hose (not included) and putting it in a canister next to the canister so it can be conveniently poured out. I had air-conditioned the living room, with air coming in through the bedroom - a vent that really couldn't be used during the day - but the air cooled from about 35 to maybe 28 before it went under the door into the living room. I didn't have the air conditioner on in the evening, before I went to bed I opened the bedroom window wide and since the temperature outside dropped to 23, the air changed within an hour and it was possible to sleep there. It's definitely not possible to sleep with the air conditioning on - it's really noisy. 99% of the noise is made by the compressor and 1% by the fan, so if night mode slows down the fan you really won't notice anything. An unnecessary feature that the manufacturer didn't need to put in at all (just to have something on paper).
It works as it should - she made it through the first summer.
I was air-conditioning a larger room (with 3 large windows, where the sun washes in all morning, there are no outside blinds and it is not possible to install them - apartment building) than the air conditioner is designed for and it managed to lower the temperature from 28.5 to about 25, which I consider a success. If I were cooling a smaller room, which is what the air conditioner is designed for, I believe I could get to a lower temperature. 25 but for me it was fine, especially when it was 10 degrees higher outside in the afternoon.
Noisy, but what do you expect when everything is in such a small box right in the living room?
Occasionally the plastic cover on one side resonates, but it can be solved by shimming one wheel.
The condensate hose is missing, I knew this, yet I write it as a negative, I think this should be standard basic equipment of every mobile air conditioner today.
