The headphones are good, but I'm returning them due to a bad connection (I read on the forum that this is a common problem on the global version of the headphones with the LDAC codec)

After the LG TONE Free FP8 that broke after a year and a long selection of even more expensive headphones, I finally decided to choose these Xiaomi Redmi Buds 5 Pro headphones because of the price, LDAC and the fact that I have a Xiaomi phone. I have to say I don't regret the choice. Compared to LG TONE Free FP8 they cost a lot less, ANC works better, they sound louder. They probably work better as a handsfree too and I can hear better. The fact is that things are moving forward and the Redmi Buds 5 Pro are (or were) a novelty.
The ANC works very well although on the highest setting especially when nothing is playing you can feel quite a bit of pressure on the eardrums. I've got the strength for the middle.

Battery life
Handsfree works great. Everyone can hear me and understand me even when driving on the highway in an old van.
The size is also great. The case fits seamlessly into your pocket.
The sound was quite a pleasant surprise. They are bassier and you need to play with the EQ a bit. Of course, for a large wired headphone, it lacks a lot (I compare with ath-avc500 + fiio 5 pro).
In the package usbc cable and 3 different sizes of plugs.
I haven't tried on other phones but with the Xiaomi 12t pro just paired right after opening the case it popped up on the phone display if I want to pair. When you open the case, the earpiece appears on the left and right next to the notch with the % of charge and so on. Simply to xiaomi's tel +.
Price/performance I would say is great.
Very good fit in the ears (running, cycling, gym)
I have 14 days and it has never happened to me like with LG TONE FP8 that some headphones would not pair and only one would play.
Occasionally micro sec in music playback
Transparent mode is special. I had to go check on my daughter. The music has to be turned down a lot to be heard in all 3 modes. When I turn off the music, it's audible without any problems. When I turn on the suppression (ANC) I don't hear it at all.

The material looks like cheap plastic for a 500kč headphone.

I switched from Redmi Buds 4 Pro, which I had for literally 41 days before I lost them. Before that I had a Sony WF1000 XM3 for about 3 years. Compared to the RB4P they have a much better fit, with these I had to use the Sonek earbuds to get them to fit comfortably in my ear. Here it feels much better, because the sound channel is much - but really much - bigger. And beware, it's oval, so other attachments most likely won't fit. The 5 Procs otherwise have a slightly better sound than the 4s. But ANC is again a class above - I can't hear any ambient noise at half volume on a Prague tram. This also brings me to the comparison with the WF1000XM3. I'm not going to go into too much detail about compactness, because anyone who knows those Sonkas knows that they were generally tanks in the ears and in the pocket. Sound-wise, the Redmi (and the fours) are more balanced and clearer. With more reliable control, better ANC and will last. So I definitely recommend it, I don't think you can find anything better for 1800, -.
