I bought this vacuum cleaner for my parents, but unfortunately, it's been a huge disappointment, especially when compared directly with another vacuum. I personally use an older Vacuum X10 model in the same house (just on a different floor) and it's a hundred times smarter and works without any issues, whereas this supposedly 'better' and 'smart' model fails in so many ways. The main stumbling block is the navigation and the mapping of the space. Even though the flat has five rooms, the vacuum only scanned two. Editing the map in the app is then absolute torture. When the robot incorrectly merges rooms (e.g., the hallway, toilet, and bathroom into one single area), you can't simply split them into separate rooms in the app (it just keeps showing an error). During the actual cleaning, it behaves very erratically and literally seems to get completely lost. It doesn't travel right next to objects (it gives them a wide berth), it goes round in circles in one spot, and misses entire areas. The way it moves between rooms is also completely illogical. It will clean half of the kitchen, drive off to the bedroom, do only half of that too, and then mark that room as finished. It then returns to finish the rest of the kitchen, and as soon as it's done, it ends the entire cleaning cycle, even though the rest of the flat remains untouched (this happens in 5 out of 10 cases). It also completely fails at overcoming common obstacles. According to the specifications, it should handle a threshold of up to 2cm, but in reality, it has a massive problem even getting over our 1.4cm high one. What's more, it doesn't remember anything from previous cleanings, so every single day it struggles again and 'learns' how to get over this one particular threshold. It also can't handle carpets; no matter what I tried in the app, in the end I had to set the vacuuming as if there was no carpet there, otherwise it wouldn't work at all. Another problem is its height assessment for the sensor (lidar). The robot sometimes decides it can fit under furniture, but doesn't account for the fact that a sofa or bed might sag slightly underneath. The lidar doesn't retract, the robot tries to force its way through, and the result is the underside of our sofa getting completely scuffed up. With this constant grinding, I'm genuinely afraid that it's going to completely rip the lidar off sooner or later.
