My initial enthusiasm was replaced by a rather quick, bitter disappointment. I have very mixed feelings about it and my recommendation to you will depend on where and how you intend to use it. If you keep it on a shelf at home and want to target something indoors from time to time, it will definitely do the trick. You will appreciate its connection to your phone, its attractive design, its display. It measures pretty accurately. But if you use it occasionally outdoors, on a construction site, or somewhere outside its comfort zone, you'll probably be disappointed. The display can be very hard to see in direct sunlight, but that doesn't really matter. You probably won't see any readings on it. It doesn't work very well in the sun, even at shorter distances of around three meters (I can't say whether this is a limitation of the sensor, or it can be fixed in the future by updating the FW, or whether my piece was defective). Every time you put it on the concrete or against the wall, you will be really scratching and checking every new scratch. The built-in flashlight is cool, you don't have to worry about anything, but that's only until it's about two years old and starts to lose its capacity. Is that a lot? Maybe, but for me such a device has the potential to last for years, not just two. Bottom line. Do you want a nice meter for your home, interfacable with your phone, for good money and it will be as good as new? Take him! Do you want a partner who may not follow the latest fashion trends, but you will be together for ten years? One that isn't afraid to get dirty from dust and doesn't mind a little rain? Will you be measuring together outside? In that case, you should reach for the cheapest rangefinder from Bosch's blue profi range. It may not have the cool features and FW updates, but it will probably stick with you a lot longer.

absolutely unusable outdoors on a sunny day (at less than three meters he couldn't calculate the distance because he couldn't see the beam of his laser himself)
Display very hard to read in sunlight
It's so nice that you're afraid to scratch it (which is pretty easy to do with an aluminum chassis)
