It works quite nicely, I don't really understand the temperature setting because the soldering station has no way of knowing what temperature the soldered object actually is when it's not touching and it doesn't even have any infrared sensor, so I guess it only monitors the temperature of the metal structure of the soldering iron itself, or maybe it's just a stupid power control, it seems to react to the air flow, if I put a tip with a smaller diameter, the power of the soldering iron is reduced (I monitored with a wattmeter). Otherwise it's really great for soldering without destroying everything around which happens all the time with a big gun, here I put the smallest tip, set the smallest air flow (so that it doesn't blow off the resistor) and it beautifully soldered one tiny smd resistor without blowing off everything around or melting the plastic. If you don't have a hot air soldering station and you are always basting and destroying it, it's really worth getting one. The 750W power is probably just for warm up, then it holds the 100-300W.
