I am returning the modem, at my home it is functional, two kilometres away, at the customer for whom it was intended, it does not even make a sound. I tried three other modems (newer TP-Link, two very old; Comtrend and Huawei) VDSL is without problems with them as well. In both cases O2 VDSL.

Setting parameters for O2 without problems. Just beware that even if it's the same type that O2 uses, their firmware can't be applied to the router. You need to manually adjust a few parameters.
