Satellite and digital technology includes everything you need to receive digital satellite and terrestrial broadcasting. If you find the limited channel selection of terrestrial and cable TV lacking, then satellite broadcasting is probably the way to go. Should you choose a set-top box or a satellite receiver?

A set-top box is a device for receiving digital television channels via terrestrial DVB-T transmitters. You hook the set-top box between your TV and antenna and it is suitable for people who don’t necessarily require a wide range of TV channels. Amplifiers, antennas, and radios

The amplifier serves to amplify the received signal, while the splitter is designed to “split” a radio or television signal between multiple TV sets. To receive or transmit television and radio signals by air, you need a suitable antenna; it can be a parabolic dish, indoor, or an outdoor antenna. Connectors and cabling include everything for connecting a satellite receiver, set-top box, or other device to your TV.
