The AKASA AK-MX003-BKT60 anti-vibration mounts replace standard metal screws and solve the problem of operating vibrations transferring from fans to the computer case. Running fans generate micro-vibrations which, without dampening, are transferred directly to the chassis, causing unwanted resonance noise. These rubber mounts act as flexible absorbers, mechanically isolating the fan from the rigid structure of the case. They are made of a special siliconised rubber that effectively absorbs kinetic energy, preventing the spread of vibrations and reducing the overall noise level of the build.
To mount the fan, simply pull the mount through the mounting holes on the fan and then through the case. The entire process requires no tools; just pull the end of the mount until it clicks into place. This screwless PC fan mounting system significantly simplifies and speeds up installation. Furthermore, the siliconised rubber used is resistant to ageing and degradation, ensuring it maintains its necessary flexibility and dampening properties over the long term.
After installing the fan, you can easily trim the protruding ends of the rubber mounts with scissors or cutting pliers. This allows you to achieve a clean look inside the case without any distracting overhangs, which contributes to better cable management and unrestricted airflow. The set contains a total of 60 pieces, which is enough to mount up to 15 standard fans with four mounting points each.
