Try AlzaCafé Costa Rica Santa Rosa select coffee from the Santa Rosa 1800 processing plant in Costa Rica, owned by the Efraín Naranja family, who have been growing coffee for over 30 years. This micro-lot, i.e., coffee with a clear origin, comes from Villa Sarchi variety bushes and is processed using the honey method, thanks to which the higher density of the beans is reflected in the taste with sweet tones of forest fruits, toffee, and especially peanut butter. The coffee is particularly suitable for filter brewing, but it is also suitable for alternative methods of preparation, such as Aeropress, French press, V60, Chemex, and others. Costa Rica Santa Rosa is roasted to a medium level in small batches in the Czech Republic based on current demand, so we can guarantee that it will reach you in perfect condition.

This select coffee from the Santa Rosa farm in Costa Rica's Tarrazú region represents the best this renowned area has to offer. The Villa Sarchi variety, bred directly in Costa Rica, is characterized by its delicate acidity, elegant sweetness, and complex flavour profile. The combination of high altitude, rich volcanic soils, and careful processing results in a cup with notes of red fruit, citrus, and caramel that will appeal to lovers of lively and fresh coffees.

AlzaCafé Costa Rica Santa Rosa coffee was processed using the red honey method from Catuaí cherries. This processing method involves removing the skin from the beans and leaving more pulp. During subsequent drying on African beds, the pulp dries and forms a sticky layer, which requires frequent turning, but also results in a sweeter and fuller flavour with higher acidity. Red honey differs from the standard honey process in that the coffee is left in the shade for a longer period of time, slowing down the drying process and exposing the beans to higher humidity.

This coffee is best prepared using a filter, which allows its delicate floral aroma and sweet notes of strawberry and honey to fully express themselves. It is ideal for methods such as V60, Chemex, Aeropress, or French press, which highlight its light, juicy body and fruity freshness. Thanks to its light roast, this coffee is the ideal choice for lovers of clean and fresh flavour profiles that can be enjoyed every day. If you are looking for a coffee that refreshes and delights with its delicacy, AlzaCafé Costa Rica Santa Rosa is the right choice.

In order for coffee beans to retain their unique flavour and aroma, it is important to store them properly. That is why we package our coffee in opaque, three-layer bags that protect the contents from air, moisture, and light. They feature a practical zip closure, so you don't have to transfer the coffee to another container—simply reseal the bag after opening. A one-way valve allows natural gases produced during roasting to escape, but does not let air in. This keeps AlzaCafé coffee fresh and full of flavour for many weeks or even months. For maximum quality, we recommend storing it in a dry place at a constant temperature, away from the refrigerator and freezer.

Our goal is to offer not only premium specialty coffee from South America and Africa that will satisfy even the most demanding coffee lovers, but also affordable blends with a balanced flavour for everyday enjoyment. That's why our range also includes single-origin coffees from Latin America – whether you're looking for unique flavour profiles or reliable classics, you'll always find the right one at AlzaCafé. Enjoy unforgettable experiences every day with freshly roasted coffee of the highest quality!
