What materials are Apple Watch Ultra made of?

The 49mm case of the Apple Watch Ultra is crafted from lightweight but highly durable titanium. You don't need to worry about scratches, cracks, or corrosion. The protection for the largest Retina display on the watch to date is provided by a robust sapphire crystal glass. On the watch's body, you'll find the Digital Crown and two side buttons, which make for easy and precise control.

The high durability of Apple Watch Ultra is evidenced by the IP6X, WR100, or MIL-STD 810H standards. IP6X guarantees complete dust resistance. The Modular Ultra watch face utilises the entire display and shows data such as altitude, depth, or elapsed seconds on the edges.

If you want to know the time at all times, leave the Always-On feature turned on on your Apple Watch Ultra. This feature prevents the display from turning off completely and instead switches it to a standby mode when not in use. The only downside is the increased battery consumption.

What does the large orange button do?

In addition to the Digital Crown and side button, the Apple Watch Ultra has another control element – the unique programmable Action button, which you'll recognise by its orange color. You can customise this button to your exact needs. It can mark points on the route, start a workout, or even trigger a loud siren. Apple Watch Ultra has a much longer battery life than the classic range. In normal use, you can get up to 36 hours of battery life, and even up to 60 hours in Low Power Mode. This means you can easily go on a long hike without worrying about running out of battery.
