The PRIME B860-PLUS WIFI is an ATX motherboard with an Intel B860 chipset, supporting Intel Core Ultra processors for the Intel 1851 socket and designed to be Advanced AI PC-ready. It supports DDR5 memory with a frequency of 8200MHz across four DIMM slots in Dual channel mode with AEMP III, DIMM Fit, and DIMM Fit technologies. It provides users and PC builders with a range of performance optimisations through intuitive software and firmware features. The board offers a total of two M.2 slots, one of which supports data transfer speeds of up to 128Gb/s via PCIe 5.0, and the other supports speeds of 64Gb/s via PCIe 4.0. This enables faster system boot-up and application loading on drives with an operating system or applications. Connectivity includes WiFi 6E with support for 6GHz bands, Realtek 2.5Gbps Ethernet, and a rear USB 20Gb/s Type-C connector.

The ASUS Fan Xpert 2+ software provides comprehensive control over the fans. The auto-tuning mode intelligently configures all parameters with a single click. There is also a quiet mode, which reduces the speed of the chassis fans below the default minimum to keep the system quiet during light tasks. The fans can also be controlled via the UEFI BIOS.
Connectivity and software
This motherboard offers versatile connectivity options, including support for WiFi 6E, a PCIe 5.0 slot, and an arsenal of USB ports, including a Type-C connection. The integrated WiFi 6E technology uses the available radio spectrum in the 6GHz band. With three 2.4/5/6GHz bands, WiFi 6E provides a fast wireless connection with higher capacity and better performance in dense wireless environments. Modern processors support the PCIe 5.0 interface, which doubles the data transfer speed compared to PCIe 4.0, improves signal integrity, and provides backward-compatible CEM connectors and support for previous PCIe versions.

Armoury Crate customises the Aura Sync RGB function, controls ASUS devices, and includes product registration and updates. Aura Sync provides complete control over RGB lighting for builds, ensuring easy synchronisation with compatible hardware. Three addressable Gen 2 headers detect the number of LEDs on compatible RGB devices and automatically adjust the lighting effects accordingly.
