Power system and expandability
The 16+1+2 power configuration with 70A power stages is designed for the high demands of multi-core 14th generation Intel processors and provides a stable power supply during overclocking. Dual ProCool II connectors with solid pins ensure better current conduction than standard connectors and direct 12V power delivery to the processors. Expansion slots include one PCIe 5.0 x16 SafeSlot connected directly to the CPU with double the data speed of PCIe 4.0, one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot connected to the chipset operating in x4 mode, and one PCIe 3.0 x1 slot connected to the chipset. The SafeSlot design with mechanical reinforcement protects the main slot from damage during graphics card installation and maintains a stable electrical connection during operation.
Memory and storage
Four DDR5 slots support overclocking beyond 8000MT/s via AEMP II technology, which automatically analyses memory chips and presents optimised frequency, timing, and voltage profiles for PMIC-restricted modules. XMP profile compatibility enables simple overclocking of certified memory. Five M.2 slots provide extensive storage options – two M.2 22110 slots with PCIe 4.0 x4, two M.2 2280 slots with PCIe 4.0 x4, and one M.2 2280 slot with dual PCIe 4.0 x4 and SATA mode for compatibility with older drives. Four SATA III ports offer additional capacity for traditional hard drives or SSDs. The M.2 Q-Latch mechanism eliminates the need for screws when installing or removing an SSD from the M.2 slot by using a simple locking system that securely fixes the drive and allows for quick replacement.
Cooling and AI optimisation
A robust silver VRM heatsink with a large surface area covers the voltage regulators and ensures efficient heat dissipation under long-term load, which lets processors run at higher frequencies without thermal throttling. AI Cooling II balances the thermal management and acoustics of your build with a single click. The system of fan connectors provides flexible cooling management, configurable via the Armoury Crate software or UEFI BIOS. AI Overclocking profiles the processor and cooling to predict the optimal configuration and push the system to its limits.
WiFi 7 and network connectivity
WiFi 7 with Multi-Link Operation (MLO) provides higher speeds and more reliable data transfer compared to WiFi 6E. The ASUS WiFi Q-Antenna with dual transceivers supports the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands for faster throughput, with up to 18% improved wireless signal reception in the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands. Directional sensitivity improves signal quality and covers greater distances. The Q-Antenna's snap-in mechanism enables quick and easy installation of the WiFi antenna without needing to turn any locking elements. The Armoury Crate Fast Check function allows for quick detection of WiFi signal strength, while Direction Finder helps to find the optimal antenna orientation to achieve the best WiFi signal strength in the 5GHz and 6GHz bands. Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet ensures low-latency gaming, fast file transfers, and high-resolution video streaming.
DIY-friendly features and diagnostics
The PCIe Slot Q-Release button unlocks the first PCIe slot's security latch with a single press, simplifying the process of detaching a PCIe card from the motherboard when upgrading the GPU or another compatible device. The Clear CMOS button quickly resets BIOS settings to their factory defaults and can be used to restart the PC in case of incorrectly selected BIOS settings. BIOS FlashBack enables safe and simple BIOS updates – just place the UEFI BIOS file on a FAT32-formatted USB drive, plug it into the USB BIOS FlashBack port, and press the button. Updates can even be performed without a memory or processor installed. Q-LED diagnostic lights provide a quick indication of the proper functioning of key components – CPU, RAM, graphics card, and storage devices.
Software and ecosystem
Two-Way AI Noise Cancellation uses an extensive deep-learning database to reduce background noise from your microphone and incoming audio, and removes distracting keyboard clatter, mouse clicks, and other ambient noise for crystal-clear calls and video conferences. AI Networking optimises network performance and helps ensure a seamless connection with maximum WiFi 7 speeds. Armoury Crate provides centralised control of RGB lighting via Aura Sync, with the ability to synchronise with other compatible products from the ROG ecosystem to create a fully customised gaming setup. Intel Unison lets you use a tablet as a second display, wirelessly transfer content between your PC and a tablet or phone, access photos from your smartphone while working on your PC, view text messages and phone notifications, and make calls without touching your phone.
