3D Sound with Dolby Atmos
The DENON DHT-S517 soundbar uses a 3.1.2 configuration with up-firing speakers that reflect sound off the ceiling to create a height effect. This creates a true three-dimensional soundscape. Dolby Atmos technology delivers detailed and realistic sound reproduction when watching films and series. The result is an immersive cinema-like experience.
Powerful Wireless Subwoofer
The system includes an active wireless subwoofer that delivers deep, energetic bass. It can be placed flexibly in the room. The bass component significantly increases the dynamics of the sound and gives both films and music the intensity they need. The overall sound is fuller and more pronounced.
Wide Compatibility and HDMI eARC
The DENON DHT-S517 soundbar is compatible with virtually any TV and offers a simple connection via HDMI eARC or ARC. This connection method allows the transmission of high-quality audio, including Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD formats. It also allows you to control the volume directly with the TV remote. Alternatively, an optical input can be used.
Denon Dialog Enhancer
The Dialog Enhancer feature ensures better dialogue clarity without having to increase the overall volume. It offers several customisable setting levels to suit your needs. This keeps voices clear even during action scenes or complex soundtracks. The ideal solution for watching films and series.
Sound Modes and Pure Listening
The soundbar offers several sound modes, including Movie, Music and Night, which optimise playback according to the type of content. The Pure mode eliminates additional sound processing and provides a pure, faithful music listening experience. The night mode, on the other hand, limits the dynamics for undisturbed late-night viewing. Each mode contributes to maximum user comfort.
Wireless Streaming and Connectivity
Using Bluetooth, you can easily stream music from your phone, tablet or other device. The connection is fast and stable, so you can enjoy your favourite content instantly. The DENON DHT-S517 soundbar supports multiple inputs including HDMI, optical and analogue connections. This makes it a versatile home entertainment hub.
Simple Installation and Operation of the DENON DHT-S517 soundbar
Installation is very quick thanks to the included cables and clear instructions. The DENON DHT-S517 soundbar can be placed on furniture or mounted on the wall using the mounting holes. It can be controlled using the included remote control or via the TV thanks to HDMI CEC. Automatic switch-off and low standby power consumption ensure economical operation.
System Type
A soundbar can be either active or passive. Active systems have their own amplifier, so you don't have to worry about anything else. In contrast, passive speakers need an external amplifier to function, from which the sound is then sent to the individual speakers.
Number of Channels
The number of channels a soundbar has is undoubtedly a key parameter on the road to a quality listening experience. This property refers to the number of independent audio signals that can be reproduced simultaneously. An example is two-channel stereo sound, where each channel represents one ear. A classic TV soundbar is installed under the TV screen and only sends sound from the front, but using more complex techniques you can simulate multi-channel (4/5/7.1) speaker sets to create surround sound. If the device includes real rear speakers, the spatial localisation is almost always more faithful and accurate.Specifications
