The compact DJI Osmo Pocket 4P digital camera with two lenses
The DJI Osmo Pocket 4P digital camera is equipped with a dual-camera system with a wide-angle lens and a medium telephoto lens, a wide-angle 1" sensor, a dynamic range of up to 17 EV¹, and a D-Log 2² profile, which helps preserve detail in highlights and shadows. It is controlled via a touchscreen,⁶ gesture support¹⁰ and the DJI Mimo mobile app. This compact camera weighs just 230g and features several technologies and functions to enhance the user experience. USB 3.1 support enables fast data transfers, it has 103GB of internal storage, and a long battery life with fast charging support. The Vlog Combo¹⁶ package includes enhanced equipment for video content creation compared to the Standard Combo.
This digital camera impresses with its dual-camera system, offering both a wide-angle lens and a medium telephoto lens for various types of shots. High-quality images can be taken even after dark, as the Osmo Pocket 4P can balance ambient light and the subject's lighting, making the subject stand out against a night scene. The touchscreen⁶ allows you to adjust settings such as smoothing, clarity, or skin tone. In addition, the DJI Mimo app includes Glamour Effects⁷ and six integrated cinematic tones.
The wide-angle lens, with an all-new 1" CMOS sensor and LOFIC technology, increases the dynamic range to up to 17 EV.¹ Regardless of the lighting conditions, the Osmo Pocket 4P keeps highlights and shadows in balance.
The camera is equipped with a medium telephoto lens with 3× optical zoom and up to 12× zoom.⁵ Together with its f/1.8 aperture, it creates a naturally blurred background and helps to highlight your subject. Using the joystick or by tapping the screen, you can quickly move between different focal lengths.
The Osmo Pocket 4P camera is designed for content creation and faithful colour reproduction with subtle shades. A new feature of this model is the D-Log M² colour profile, which, combined with a dynamic range of up to 17 EV,¹ preserves more detail in highlights and shadows. With 10-bit colour depth, it captures over 1 billion colours, ensures smooth colour transitions, and provides greater flexibility for subsequent colour grading.
Inside the compact body of the digital camera is an advanced three-axis mechanical stabilisation system that helps keep your shots smooth and steady. Several tracking modes are available, and a custom button lets you instantly lock or change composition, making it easy to handle even dynamic movement. The Osmo Pocket 4P weighs only 230g, which contributes to its easy handling and portability.
ActiveTrack 8.0³ helps keep the subject in the centre of the frame in various holding positions and provides stable tracking even when moving.
The Osmo Pocket 4P camera offers intuitive control – rotating the touchscreen⁶ quickly turns the camera on to capture inspiration at the right moment. For solo creation, you'll mainly use gesture control.¹⁰ An open palm starts ActiveTrack,³ while a V-sign gesture starts recording.
The 4K Live Photo¹¹ feature automatically records 1.5 seconds before and after each shot. The 4K recording provides detailed moving images. With the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P, you can also take photos in up to 37Mpx resolution with detailed rendering – the composition of the images can be edited later.
Thanks to USB 3.1 support, file transfers are very fast – speeds reach up to 800MB/s.¹² The camera has 103GB of built-in storage, so you can start recording immediately after purchase without needing a memory card. The Osmo Pocket 4P lasts up to 210 minutes¹⁴ under specified test conditions. With fast charging support, you can get 80% capacity in approximately 18 minutes.¹³ The digital camera also supports live streaming via a Wi-Fi connection.¹⁵
The DJI Osmo Pocket 4P camera offers features to expand your creative possibilities:
¹ In the D-Log 2 colour profile, the maximum dynamic range reaches up to 17 EV.
² The 10-bit D-Log 2 profile is only supported at 1× zoom.
³ The ActiveTrack function is not supported in Panorama, Timelapse, Motionlapse and SpinShot modes, nor when the gimbal is in FPV mode and the device is held horizontally. For optimal tracking performance, use the device in a well-lit environment. ActiveTrack updates are available through the DJI Mimo app.
⁴ Slow-motion video up to 4K/240fps is only supported with the wide-angle lens. The medium telephoto lens allows slow-motion video up to 4K/200fps. 4K resolution is not supported for vertical shooting.
⁵ 12× digital zoom is not available in Photo, Low-Light, Slow Motion or Timelapse modes.
⁶ The Film Tone and in-camera Beautify functions are only available in Video mode and cannot be used simultaneously. If Film Tone is activated, the in-camera Beautify settings are not available. If in-camera Beautify is already activated, switching to Film Tone will deactivate the beautification effect.
⁷ The Glamour Effects function in the app is only available in Video and Low-Light modes; it is not available in Photo mode or other modes.
⁸ When the multi-person tracking function is turned on, it is not possible to use the zoom. To adjust the shot, we recommend setting the desired zoom level in normal Video mode before turning this function on. Tracking is limited to 8 people.
⁹ On the Object Management page, you can register and manage up to three objects, which can be the same person if required.
¹⁰ The effective range of gesture control varies depending on the zoom ratio: approximately 3 metres at 1× to 2× zoom, 4–7 metres at 2× to 3× zoom, and 8–15 metres at 3× to 12× zoom. To control the ActiveTrack function or start recording, use the appropriate gestures (palm or V-sign) and do not cover your head with your hand. The function's range may change in future firmware updates.
¹¹ The Live Photo function only supports 16:9 and 9:16 aspect ratios. The maximum resolution is 4K for the 16:9 aspect ratio and 3K for the 9:16 aspect ratio.
¹² Data was tested in a controlled laboratory environment. When using the included USB-C to USB-C PD (USB 3.1) cable or another cable compatible with USB 3.1, you can export data from the built-in storage at a maximum transfer speed of up to 800MB/s.
¹³ Tested in a laboratory environment using the DJI 65W Portable Charger (sold separately).
¹⁴ Tested at room temperature of 25°C and 1080p/24fps (16:9) resolution, with Wi-Fi off and the display off. This data is for reference only.
¹⁵ Supports mobile live streaming via Wi-Fi through the DJI Mimo app or live streaming from a computer via UVC or DP video output (capture card required).
¹⁶ Sold separately or as part of certain package types.
