GIRO Register II MIPS Youth Mat Black/Vivid Green

The GIRO Register II MIPS Youth bike helmet is designed to keep children safe when riding off-road or in the city. The In-mold construction fuses a polycarbonate shell with an inner EPS foam liner, increasing durability while keeping the weight low. Safety is further enhanced by MIPS Evolve Core technology, which helps to eliminate rotational forces acting on the head during an impact. The Roc Loc Sport fit system with a dial allows for easy size adjustment for a head circumference of 50 to 57cm.

Construction and Safety Technology

The helmet uses In-mold construction, where the outer polycarbonate shell is firmly bonded to the inner layer of EPS foam. This results in higher durability and lower weight. A key feature is the MIPS Evolve Core technology, which protects the brain from rotational forces. It is a low-friction layer between the shell and the inner liners that allows the helmet to rotate slightly on impact at an angle, thus absorbing energy that would otherwise act on the brain. The helmet meets the European safety standard CE EN 1078:2012+A1.

Comfort and Ventilation System

For comfort during the ride, the helmet is equipped with 19 vents with deep internal channels that effectively dissipate heat. You can easily adjust the size using the Roc Loc Sport fit system, which is operated with one hand using a dial. The inner liners are quick-drying and antibacterial Coolmax pads, which can be removed and washed. This material helps keep the head dry and contributes to hygiene even during longer wear.

Functional Features of the GIRO Helmet

The Register II MIPS Youth helmet includes several practical features. It comes with a removable Snap-Fit 2 visor that protects against the sun and branches. The front vents have an integrated insect mesh, which you'll appreciate especially when riding in nature. To increase visibility in low light, the helmet is fitted with reflective elements. The helmet can also be equipped with the compatible GIRO Register II / Isode II Vent Light (not included in the package).
