Key features of the Levenhuk New Skyline Base 70/900 EQ1 telescope
- Suitable for observing the Moon, planets of the Solar System, and terrestrial objects
- 70mm refractor with 900mm focal length delivers excellent optical performance for beginners
- Anti-reflective coated lenses ensure maximum light transmission
- EQ1 equatorial mount enables precise tracking of astronomical objects in the sky
- Aluminium tripod with adjustable legs accommodates observers of all heights
Classic refractor
With its 70mm achromatic objective lens and 900mm focal length, the telescope delivers a bright and sharp image with minimal distortion. The 10mm (90×) and 25mm (36×) eyepieces combined with the 2× Barlow lens provide a solid magnification range for both wide views and detailed close-ups. The 6×24 optical finderscope helps you locate targets in the sky, while the screen size mirror lets you comfortably observe terrestrial objects.
EQ1 equatorial mount
The telescope is mounted on an EQ1 equatorial mount, which enables smooth and precise tracking of celestial objects by compensating for the rotation of the Earth. Slow-motion controls make fine adjustments easy and precise. The tripod legs adjust to various heights, and the accessory tray keeps extra eyepieces within easy reach. The counterweight system minimises vibrations, keeping your image stable even at higher magnifications.
