The Mikrotik RB911G-5HPnD-QRT outdoor access point is a complete unit for the 5GHz band that operates on the 802.11a/n (Wi-Fi 4) standard. The device integrates a RouterBOARD, a high-power wireless transmitter, and a 24dBi panel antenna. This robust outdoor design with an integrated antenna enables fast and efficient deployment in point-to-point links over longer distances. A Gigabit Ethernet port is used for network connection, which fully utilises the potential of wireless transmission with speeds of up to 300Mb/s. The system is run by an AR9342 processor and the RouterOS operating system with a Level 4 licence.

The device is based on an AR9342 processor with a frequency of 600MHz, complemented by 64MB of RAM. For wireless communication in the 5GHz band, it uses 2×2 MIMO (Dual-chain) technology, which contributes to achieving transmission speeds of up to 300Mb/s. Support for the 802.11a/n standards ensures compatibility with other clients within the Wi-Fi 4 generation.
Antenna and deployment
The unit makes it easy and efficient to build point-to-point links over longer distances. This is achieved with an integrated 24dBi panel antenna, which focuses the signal into a narrow and powerful beam. The entire construction has an IP54 rating and can withstand operating temperatures from -40°C to 70°C, making it ideal for outdoor installation in harsh conditions.
Management and operating system
Management and configuration are handled by the full-featured RouterOS operating system with a Level 4 licence. This offers extensive network settings, including operating modes for Access Point or Point-to-Point backhaul. You can access the settings via the web interface, the WinBox application, or the command line. There are also advanced features for managing network traffic, such as detailed bandwidth management (QoS), a built-in firewall for comprehensive security, and the ability to easily create a secure virtual private network (VPN).
Easy installation, connectivity and package contents
For easy installation, the package includes all the accessories for immediate mast mounting, a gigabit PoE injector and a 24V/0.8A power adapter. This provides all the necessary components to get the link up and running quickly. The device offers one 10/100/1000 Ethernet port for data connection. This port also serves for power via passive PoE in the range of 8 to 28V. Carrying both data and power over a single cable simplifies installation.
