The outer jacket of the cable consists of a cotton braid that protects it from mechanical damage and makes it easy to handle. The hoods of both USB-C connectors are made of aluminium. Inside, triple shielding of the inner conductors prevents external electromagnetic interference and keeps data transmission stable. The copper conductors have a thickness of AWG32 and AWG24. The total thickness of the cable is 5.1mm.
