The cpu for games is probably the best one can buy now, I recommend buying a mid-range board, although those are quite expensive. Do gaming computer top cpu currently. Despite the lower power consumption it still gets quite hot, on probably the best Noctua NHD15 air cooler the temperature is 83-85° under load (cinebench r23)
in gaming load keeps 5ghz, really super results in games
compared to ryzen 7 5800x about 7-8°C lower temperatures with the same cooler (Noctua NHD15)
finally RTX 3090 doesn't hinder me even in cpu intensive games: )
real consumption at 100% load according to HWinfo 85-90w, comparable Intel cpu is really a thermal power plant
tribute about the price
according to AMD specs, the maximum safe temperature is 89°C, so you shouldn't skimp on the cooler, but who has 10k for a CPU, has a cooler too, right?
more expensive motherboard with AM5 platform

I'm satisfied, more FPS in games than on the Intel i7-13700K CPU and it will be better at games even than the i9! Better temps and I'm using air cooling for now (sufficient) but I'll switch to water. The advantage is that you don't need to set anything in the BIOS on the CPU, just turn on the new EXPO (XMP) for RAM. Don't turn on the precision boost overdrive, or all hell will break loose! Below I did a PFS test in a much played game: Warzone 2.0 RTX 4070 Ti + 7800X3D 1440p LOW, DLSS OFF _ Al Bagra Fortress: https://youtu. be/0r_eV4hKsAI? si=0-QE9ycpVrr3KDx-

Best gaming CPUs
AMD has improved a lot!
PC starts up at 1:20!: -(((
BOOST doesn't work well, doesn't add anything (FPS)
RENDER videos almost 2x slower than on i7-13700K
Intel is better suited to the job

The last AMD I had was an Athlon 64, however the processor was a very pleasant surprise. I switched from the i7-13700KF, which was an absolutely horrible processor (temperatures terrible, power consumption too and performance in games also absolutely no glory, but maybe I had the wrong piece) and it's a shame I didn't go straight to AMD. With Intel I was dealing with temperatures, had to underclock it and keep fucking with it. But the worst part was gaming, it was most evident with Fortnite, where my image was constantly jerking (random fps stuttering, which happens more to people with Intel, I had an i9-9990K before and it did the same thing). With AMD, this is over, and I can finally play any game in peace without tearing.
Speed
Games handles better than 13700KF

With a proper board and memory, it's perfect for gaming. It generally works at higher temperatures, so you need to design your cooling well, but that's generally true for all powerful CPUs today.
The need to buy a rather expensive board.
The depressions on the sides really don't make it easy to work with the paste when removing it.

I was switching from an i7 9700k that I had overclocked to 5ghz on all cores and the performance of the Ryzen blew my mind. in COD MW2 huge fps increase with VGA 4070ti. Today I don't understand why I was afraid to switch from Intel. the best upgrade you can make.

I've tried virtually all processors except 12 and 16 core on AM5, but for gaming this is the absolute best. For AM5 there is no other choice for gaming if you don't mind paying a little extra. I'm set for many years to come. maybe when there's some 10800X3D on AM5 in x generations: )
Low consumption
Compared to the 7600X and 7700X, the 360 AIO maintains 10-15° lower temperatures
Stable FPS with a bare minimum of 1% and 0.1% drops compared to 7600X and 7700X
I've tried virtually all CPUs except the most expensive on AM5, but this one is a winner
Cannot clock, but with PBO and Curve optimizer 5043MHz with 66° temperatures and low power consumption
