It works without any problem with home assistant running in Docker container under Ubuntu on ARM ODROID-HC4 with mapped --device /dev/ttyUSB0: /dev/ttyUSB0. Manual downloading and installing the driver was not necessary.

I am using this with a raspberry 4, running home assistant. Thanks to this device, I was able to use cheap IKEA 1-click buttons to send my Dreame vacuum cleaner into specific rooms for vacuum cleaning. Also, I can control my lights any way I want, including disco mode. Cool tool!
