I was transitioning from the 1st generation Airpods Pro, I figured I'd give the high end headphones a taste and I have to say they blew me out of the water. Sound absolutely phenomenal, ANC dangerously effective (look more across the road please). Even though I have the head of an elephant, the headphones are incredibly comfortable on my head and ears. A lot of this is due to the weight, which is the lowest compared to direct competition. I strongly recommend it to everyone, I hope it will last me X years.

I upgraded from the XM4 and it's a pretty noticeable difference in terms of sound quality and ANC. When riding public transport (bus, tram, metro) I can hardly hear my surroundings anymore. I was also pleasantly surprised by how light the headphones are, which is of course due to the plastic construction of these headphones - one can argue whether this is adequate for this price, but I personally do not have such a problem with it. However, what still hasn't caught on from the previous model is the automatic adaptive sound control, where my headphones very often automatically switch to pass-through mode even in very noisy traffic because they misjudge the scenario. I also noticed with this model that my speak to chat is often activated even though I am not talking. It's absurd when I'm on the street and a function is triggered by a passing truck, for example. After wearing the headphones for a long time, you can feel less pressure on the ears and less sweat. It's also a shame that such expensive headphones don't offer Google's Find My feature at all, where you can find the location of the headphones even when the device is turned off, like the Airpods in Apple's ecosystem.

With Airpods Pro, I sometimes forget I'm wearing them. That's how well transparency works for them. Compared to AirPods Pro 2 and 3, AirPods give you a much better price-performance ratio, fit in your pocket and don't get stuck - ideal for all outdoor activities, I got about 40% of 5% charge in 3 minutes. They have intuitive settings on your phone or Mac. They can be worn for most sports + are waterproof. With Sony, I'm always afraid when it rains that the rain will ruin them and I have to take them off every time. With AirPods Pro 2, the downside is the tragic microphones and calls in windy weather. But I don't know how it is with these Sony's anymore. It should be noted that if you don't own another Apple device, the list of where the AirPods Pro lead is a bit smaller. But I still hold the same view. Ideally, buy both and within the 14 days return period, try them both out and decide for yourself.
