Although it is probably the king in ANC sound is great but the price seems too much. We'll see in time how much they can take. Great for a daily subway or bus ride. The earmuffs are sticky and for me they are uncomfortable, unfortunately they are not yet cloth which I would change immediately. Overall OK except for the price.

You really can't hear it? When tapping on the headphones, coughing, laughing or similar sounds at a certain frequency, this model has an INCREDIBLE RESONANCE IN THE RIGHT EAR (earpiece) probably of mechanical origin as it is there even when the headphones are off. When listening to something quieter - e.g. the spoken word or when working with voice - this makes the headphones difficult to use. Of course, you won't hear that if you listen to death metal or techno on them. The previous XM5 model doesn't do this - but again, it breaks the headphone bridges. It is 90% mechanical resonance caused by a design flaw. The tone is somewhere in the units of kHz, and is only slightly lower than the electronic sound announcing that you've touched the touchpad. After a while, this glitch is downright maddening. I sent my first XM6 in for warranty because of this resonant sound - I thought it was a "Monday product" - a bad piece. My claim was accepted, my money was refunded and I bought a new XM6 in a different colour just in case. The sound is there again. So no defective piece, but probably a design defect of the WH-1000XM6. What good is it that SONY has developed the best ANC on the planet if they ruin it with a design flaw caused by resonance that sends the whole glorious silence into a tailspin? It's a shame that in such expensive headphones from such a reputable company this shit happened, there is no other way to call it. If anyone knows how to get rid of the sound, please post. Thanks!

I was transitioning from the 1st generation Airpods Pro, I figured I'd give the high end headphones a taste and I have to say they blew me out of the water. Sound absolutely phenomenal, ANC dangerously effective (look more across the road please). Even though I have the head of an elephant, the headphones are incredibly comfortable on my head and ears. A lot of this is due to the weight, which is the lowest compared to direct competition. I strongly recommend it to everyone, I hope it will last me X years.

I upgraded from the XM4 and it's a pretty noticeable difference in terms of sound quality and ANC. When riding public transport (bus, tram, metro) I can hardly hear my surroundings anymore. I was also pleasantly surprised by how light the headphones are, which is of course due to the plastic construction of these headphones - one can argue whether this is adequate for this price, but I personally do not have such a problem with it. However, what still hasn't caught on from the previous model is the automatic adaptive sound control, where my headphones very often automatically switch to pass-through mode even in very noisy traffic because they misjudge the scenario. I also noticed with this model that my speak to chat is often activated even though I am not talking. It's absurd when I'm on the street and a function is triggered by a passing truck, for example. After wearing the headphones for a long time, you can feel less pressure on the ears and less sweat. It's also a shame that such expensive headphones don't offer Google's Find My feature at all, where you can find the location of the headphones even when the device is turned off, like the Airpods in Apple's ecosystem.
