The Synology BC510 IP camera captures its surroundings in a resolution of 2880 × 1620 pixels at 30 frames per second and offers a horizontal viewing angle of 110°. This bullet-style camera operates both indoors and outdoors, where it uses classic infrared night vision with a maximum range of up to 30m. The construction, with a diameter of 110mm and a length of 161mm, weighs 353g and meets the IP67 resistance standard. The system integrates algorithms for motion, person, and tamper detection. The camera is powered via a 12V DC mains adapter or by using PoE (IEEE 802.3af standard) technology over an Ethernet cable.

The fixed lens with a 2.8mm focal length and F1.8 aperture provides a wide viewing angle of 110° horizontally, 56° vertically, and 132° screen sizely. For efficient data transfer management, it uses modern H.264 and H.265 compression formats. This technology significantly reduces storage capacity requirements and network load without losing detail in the recorded video.
Effective Night Vision
In low light conditions, the classic infrared night vision is automatically activated. Four high-performance IR LEDs with a wavelength of 850nm illuminate the area in front of the lens. The system provides a reliable range of up to 30m. Thanks to the multi-exposure HDR function, details remain clearly legible even in areas with high light and shadow contrast.
Smart Features
Integrated artificial intelligence algorithms recognise motion, people, and vehicles in the monitored sector. The system offers advanced features, including crowd detection, loitering detection, and people counting. When unusual activity is detected, it sends an instant notification to your email or mobile app. The device also reacts to tampering attempts or lens obstruction, which increases the overall level of security.
Audio Recording
The built-in microphone records audio from the surrounding environment directly with the video footage. This function helps to better evaluate the situation on-site during playback. The system reacts to unusual sounds in the vicinity and will trigger an alarm if necessary. The audio recording uses the G.711 compression format and technology to remove unwanted background noise. Audio is recorded in parallel with the video to provide comprehensive evidence.
Durable Construction and Data Storage
The IP67-certified construction withstands adverse weather conditions in a temperature range of -30°C to 50°C. The camera can be installed on a wall or ceiling using PoE (IEEE 802.3af standard) power. For data storage, it uses a built-in memory card slot for MicroSDHC cards. It also saves recordings to a local Synology NAS or to the Surveillance365 cloud service, with recording running continuously, on a schedule, or upon motion detection.
Connectivity and App
Network connectivity is provided by an RJ-45 Ethernet port supporting speeds of 10/100 Mbps. The camera communicates via standard protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, IPv4, and RTSP. Management and live stream viewing is done via the manufacturer's mobile app, compatible with Android, iOS, and Windows. The local Surveillance Station interface and the Surveillance365 cloud platform are also available.
