The device is easy to install and its ultra-slim design doesn't disrupt its surroundings. Thanks to the Room Link function, the individual smart thermostats communicate with each other and start the boiler only when necessary. You can adjust the temperature via the interactive light ring directly on the device's body or using the tado° mobile app. The thermostat is designed for use in a smart home.

Wired thermostat for boilers and heat pumps
The Tado X 2nd generation wired thermostat is compatible with wired systems. It works with gas boilers and heat pumps (supports relay connection and OpenTherm technology). The app will then guide you through the installation step by step. To connect to the internet and enjoy all the benefits of a smart home, you must purchase the Bridge X separately.
Not intended for underfloor heating – tado° offers a separate product for this.

The thermostat is controlled via the free tado° app, designed for products of the same brand. This provides not only convenient temperature control from anywhere, but also Quick Actions to instantly switch off all products, immediate heating boosts, schedule creation, and many other features. The Room Link feature allows the smart thermostats to communicate with each other to regulate the heating.
Slim design and intuitive controls
The smart device's elegant, slim design is complemented by intuitive controls—just swipe your finger across the interactive light ring to adjust the temperature. The Easy Button on top of the sensor can be customised, giving you one-press access to your most-used function. A matrix LED display shows the current temperature and humidity. The battery offers a lifespan of up to one year.
AI Assist for smarter heating management
An AI Assist subscription is also available, which brings additional features for more convenient heating management and can help reduce energy consumption compared to the basic tado° app membership. Once the membership is activated, Energy IQ and tado° AI technology with a real-time overview of energy consumption and related costs are available.*
