Directional transmission
The parabolic design focuses the signal into a narrow 30° beam angle. This narrow beam reduces interference from surrounding wireless sources and concentrates energy in one direction. A high gain of 26dBi helps establish a reliable connection over long distances. The antenna operates in a wide frequency range from 5.15 to 6.875GHz. The beam angle in both azimuth and elevation is 5.8° to 9° at 3dB down.
Outdoor design
The IP66-certified housing protects the internal components from splashing water and dust. The construction, made of powder-coated galvanised steel and UV-stable polycarbonate, withstands strong winds of up to 200km/h. The wind load at this speed is 348N. The antenna measures 42×42×14cm and the dish itself weighs 1.95kg without any additional mounting accessories.
Compatibility
This device is compatible with Wave-MLO5, Wave-MLO6, RP-5AC-Gen2, LTU-Rocket, and AF-5XHD devices. Direct connection with these units simplifies the entire installation and removes the need for connecting coaxial cables. The included installation kit allows for mounting on a pole with a diameter of 32 to 76mm. The adjustable mount offers mechanical elevation adjustment in the range of +/- 20° for precise aiming.
Power and wireless standards
The device fully supports the WiFi 5 wireless standard, or 802.11ac, in the 5GHz band. It is powered by the 802.3af PoE standard, which simplifies the cabling to the antenna down to a single Ethernet cable. Dual linear polarisation helps to increase the overall throughput of the wireless link in a noisy environment. The VSWR value is 2:1 and the cross-polarization isolation is 15dB.
