The Yamaha MX-A5200 is a high-end 11-channel rear amplifier for high-end home theater and demanding multi-zone setups. It offers up to 290 W per channel (1 kHz, 1 channel excited, 4 Ohm) and is designed with an emphasis on signal clarity, high dynamics and maximum configuration flexibility. With 11 separate amplifier channels, you can tailor the system to your exact setup - from immersive surround sound to multi-zone sound. The Yamaha MX-A5200 amplifier supports BTL bridge wiring for two front channels, bi-amping with channel select, and uses custom 27,000 uF charge capacitors. For interconnection, it offers balanced XLR inputs for all 11 channels (interference-resistant) and, alternatively, RCA. The solid chassis construction with double bottom steel (1.6 mm) helps minimize vibration and contributes to solid, stable reproduction. The TITAN variant looks elegant and suits premium AV components.

The MX-A5200 uses 11 separate amplification channels that can be combined according to the selected configuration. This makes it easy to build an impressive surround system, but you can also use a multi-zone solution to distribute power to other parts of the home. The symmetrical layout of the power amplifier helps separate the left and right sections both physically and electrically, promoting clarity of expression and a wide soundstage. The design also aims to improve the signal-to-noise ratio to bring out fine details. The result is a sound with distinctive dynamics, confidence and control.

BTL (bridge wiring) is available for the two front channels to help increase the power reserve and improve the front speaker response. If you want to tune the system in even more detail, bi-amping with channel selection lets you tailor the wiring to your specific speakers and setup. The Yamaha MX-A5200 amplifier relies on a generously sized power supply with a toroidal transformer and a pair of high-capacitance capacitors to provide plenty of power even during demanding peak periods. This is especially noticeable in dynamic scenes and louder listening. Overall, it is a solution aimed at performance "with margin" and minimal distortion.

The chassis is designed to eliminate the effects of vibration as much as possible - using a double bottom of 1.6mm thick steel plates and a design that supports heavy heatsinks and other components. The lower frame limits the transmission of vibrations from the power transformer and heat sinks, helping to maintain a stable sound. For interconnection, there is a balanced XLR connection for all 11 channels, which is resistant to interference and typically used in professional audio equipment. If you need, you can also use RCA, which is available for all 11 channels. Gold-plated speaker terminals ensure a solid and high-quality connection to the speakers.
